CROSS of IRON

First it was ment to be a simple photograph inspired by Sam Peckinpah`s film but then I decided add the text, some filth into it and make a pouster out of it.

I think the best story that I`ve ever heard about someone receiving the iron cross was about a doctor and an officer in the Finnish army whom was serving in a field hospital near the Russian boarder. As he was doing he´s rounds russians started a massive bombing campaigne of the area. And without hesitation the doctor with the help of his staff let the finnish and the german patients through the iron storm, saving them all. The story reached all the way to Adolf Hitler who decided to reward him with the first class iron cross. But he refused “the honour” because he was not just an officer and a doctor in the Finnish army serving his fatherland, he was also Jewish. Even though Finland was even more allied with Germany during the conjutation war, we never shared their stupid anti-semitism.
